It's curtains for Trade Fair-2007

Honoured: Second Secretary of Embassy of the People's Republic of China Pan Huining receiving the award from Delhi Lt.-Governor Tejendra Khanna on the concluding day of the India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Tuesday.
NEW DELHI: The curtain was rung down on the fortnight-long India International Trade Fair-2007 at Pragati Maidan here on Tuesday with the award presentation ceremony.
In the foreign category, China won the gold medal, while Belarus received the silver. Among the State Government pavilions, Kerala won the gold medal, while Punjab got silver. The North-Eastern State of Assam got a special commendation.
Among the North-Eastern State pavilions, Meghalaya -- which was the 'Focus State' this year -- got the gold medal, while Manipur received the silver.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna said: 'Twenty-six years ago, the India International Trade Fair was started with the idea to provide opportunities to international exhibitors and national manufacturers to participate in a multi-product and multi-service trade fair
